Configuration

On the web UI or from LiveEdge® Cloud Control, set up the desired encoder instances and 1xRTMP Output. For this demo, we will be using one video encoder with encoded resolution at 1920x1080p60.

Video Profile: 1080p PhenixRTS

• Video Scaling: 1920x1080p (16:9)
• Encoding Mode: Constant Bitrate
• Video Bitrate: 5000-6000 kbps
• Video Encoding: H.264 (AVC)
• H.264 Profile: High Profile
• Keyframe Interval: 1-2 Second(s) or 1000 to 2000 Milliseconds
• Quality/Latency: Lowest
  

Audio Profile: PhenixRTS Audio

• Audio Encoding: MPEG-4 AAC-LC
• Encoding Mode: Constant Bitrate
• Audio Bitrate: 128 kbps

  • Navigate to PhenixRTS Dashboard to configure the Stream URL...

PhenixRTS Dashboard

1. Login to your PhenixRTS Dashboard.

2. Select your desired channel name or click to create a new channel.
3. From the desired channel, select Properties
   
4. Copy the Stream Key
5. As can be found from this link, the server URL for PhenixRTS is: rtmp://ingest.phenixrts.com:80/ingest/
6. Navigate to the desired RTMP output of the EdgeCaster and enter the Stream URL in the following format:
   rtmp://ingest.phenixrts.com:80/ingest/stream_key
   *Note: the stream key was copied in step 4 above.

7. Turn on RTMP Output and Click Save. Status should change to “Streaming”

8. You can view your Preview stream by selecting the Preview tab
   
9. You can watch playback from your stream by selecting the EdgeAuth tab
   
10. Copy and paste your Permalink into a browser to view playback
