When performing a device software update on your Max, you may observe the following behavior during the completion of the software update process:
- From the Advanced menu of the Web UI, click "Check for Update"
- Observe the following pop-up on your computer indicating "Downloading update..."
- Once the update files have finished downloading to the device, the pop-up will change to the following indicating "Update in progress..."
- Observe the "Update successful." pop-up.
- Wait for 5 minutes!!!! If the device does not automatically reboot on its own, observe the banner at the top of the screen indicating "Please reboot to finish installing updates." and click "Reboot & Update"
- Observe the "Rebooting..." pop-up
- When the "Reboot successful." pop-up displays, click "OK"
- There may still be a banner at the top of the screen indicating "Please reboot to finish installing updates.".
- If so, click "Reboot & Update" again
- If so, click "Reboot & Update" again
- At this time, the Web UI may become unresponsive for a minute or two.
- Refresh your browser after 2 minutes and observe that the Web UI is functional again with the updated software version.
