This article applies to Videon's LiveEdge Max, LiveEdge Max 2, EZ Max, and EZ Max 2 products.
Below are the instructions for installing the LiveEdge® Rack:
- Place the long Power rack containing the Power Distribution hardware at the bottom and secure it to the rack
- Proceed with the installation of additional rack trays to the rack and secure
- Connect the Power connections to the Max units located on the long Power rack and the three half racks. Ensure that the threaded connections are secured tightly for the power connectors.
- To evenly distribute the load of the power distribution box, install 4 LiveEdge® Max units to the power distribution box using the left side connections (bottom left 2 connectors & top left 2 connectors). Then connect 4 Max units using the right side connections (bottom right 2 connectors & top right connectors). Leaving the center connector on the top row for a 9-unit configuration (or backup) only.
- Connect Ethernet connections to the Ethernet connector located on the rear of each of the Max units located on the Power rack and the three half racks
- Connect the desired Video input connections to the Video input connectors located on the rear of the Max units located on the Power rack and the three half racks
- Connect the two AC input cords to the rear of the two PSUs on each of the Power racks
- Plug in the AC connections. A green LED on the PSU units will turn on when powered.
- Max Units should power on with Red LED.
- In 2-3 minutes the LED will turn from Red to Blue indicating the units are ready to stream.
Notes: Power Rack is designed for failover. If either PSU fails in any way, the Max units will remain powered on and uninterrupted. Each PSU can carry the load for the 8 Max units during this condition.
