Remember to click "Safely Remove" before removing the storage device. This ensures the recording process is complete
Storage device
Make sure there is enough space on the storage device as indicated by the amount of time remaining reported by the web UI
There is only support for FAT32 filesystems
Videon products accept either USB or SD card for recording. The first one plugged in will be the device that recordings are saved to.
Recorded Files
Filename can be customized and will be saved with a timestamp creating a file of the format Filename_YearMonthDate_HoursMinutesSeconds.ts
Do not use forward slashes, '/', or spaces in the name, this can cause issues recording
Files are saved as .ts (transport stream) or .mp4, so make sure to use a player that supports the appropriate files or convert the file to the desired format before using it
Limit Max File Size
When turned On, recordings will be split into chunks as specified according to this setting (default 2GB chunks)
When turned Off:
Internal Storage: recording will continue until either the internal storage is full or until File Recording is turned Off
External Storage: recording will continue until a maximum of 4GB file size has been reached (FAT32 file format only allows a maximum file size of 4GB, so the video files will be split into a maximum of 4GB chunks) or until File Recording is turned Off
