Configuring your AWS MediaConnect account:

Navigate to your AWS account and enter the MediaConnect Service.

Click "Create flow"

Under Details:

Enter a Name

Set Availability Zone to Any

- Under Source:

Source type: Select Standard source

Enter a Name

Set the Protocol to Zixi push

Source description: Enter a description as desired or leave blank

Allowlist CIDR block: 0.0.0.0/0
- !!NOTE: This allows a device with any IP address to publish to this flow!!

Inbound port: Defaults to 2088
- Maximum latency: Enter a valid maximum latency (in ms) as desired or leave blank
- Stream ID: Enter a Stream ID as desired or leave blank

Decryption: Disabled

Click Create flow

Publishing an unencrypted Zixi stream to MediaConnect
- Navigate to AWS MediaConnect and enter the Flow which you are using
- Start the Flow in the top-right of your Flow's screen
- Allow some time for the Flow to start and the Status will then show "Active" when it is ready

Set up the Videon device to stream SRT

Configure the Destination Address

Navigate to the appropriate Flow in MediaConnect and locate the Public Outbound IP address

Enter the Public Outbound IP address into the Videon device's Zixi Destination Address
- Port: 2088

Enter a Max Latency less than the Maximum Latency assigned to the MediaConnect Flow (if assigned)

Enter a FEC Percentage
- Enter the Stream ID of the appropriate MediaConnect Flow Source
- Do not enter a Passphrase

Ensure Encryption is turned OFF

- Turn the Zixi output ON and click Save

You should now be successfully publishing your Zixi stream to AWS MediaConnect, indicated by the Source health metrics in the MediaConnect Flow
