The SDI input ports on Max (up to two ports) are 12G-SDI which can support input up to UHDp60 as implemented on the Max product.

Level A and Level B support up to 16 channels of L-PCM with sample rates of 44.1kHz and 48 kHz.
SDI Metadata support
Support for CC SMPTE 334-2 608/708 (HD/4K)
- Input caption data must be SMPTE-334-2 and can be 608 or 708. On output, the captions will be wrapped/packaged as 708. When the user selects SDI input and the SDI input contains closed caption data (embedded in the VANC), the encoder will include this data in the transport stream output(s).
