Videon's newest platform, the LiveEdge® Max, comes out of the box with one of the most appealing new features being the front panel display!
What is the Front Panel Display?
The front panel display features a menu reporting which input(s) are selected and device information including the System IP address, MAC Address, Device Serial Number, and software version number.
By default in V10.0.2, the front panel will display the LiveEdge® Max logo when powered on (as shown in the screenshot above). Pressing any of the keys to the right of the front panel will cause it to "wake up" so you can access the display's menu.
- The main page shows the options you have to select within the menu:
- Exit
- When the circle (center) button is pressed, this will allow you to exit the menu and return to the LiveEdge® Max logo.
- Input 1
- For software versions <V10.2.1: When the circle (center) button is pressed, this will display the Input number, Video source cable type that is selected for this input, Audio source detection that is selected for this input, and the detected Video Input Format.
- For software versions >V10.2.1: When the circle (center) button is pressed, this will display the Input number, Video source cable type that is selected for this input, Audio source detection that is selected for this input, and the detected Video Input Format. Then, the user may press the circle (center) button on Video to select whether they wish to use SDI or TPG (Test Pattern Generator) from this menu.
