Prerequisites
Users must have accounts in both Okta and videoncloud.com (with the same email address) to use Okta for SSO.
Supported Features
The following features are supported:
- Sign-in can be initiated from LiveEdge Cloud via https://videoncloud.com
The following SAML attributes are supported:
- http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/name - user.firstName
- http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/emailaddress - user.email
Configuration Steps
- Add LiveEdge Cloud from the Okta App Catalog
- Sign in to your Okta admin dashboard
- Navigate to Applications -> Applications -> Browse App Catalog
- Search for “LiveEdge Cloud” using the search bar and click on the “LiveEdge Cloud” app
- Click “Add Integration” and then "Done"
- Provide the Okta Integration info to Videon
- Email Videon technical support techsupport@videonlabs.com with the following information
- Email subject line of "[Your Company Name] Okta integration request"
- Email address domain(s) to be whitelisted for this integration
- Metadata URL
- In Okta, under the LiveEdge Cloud app, click the “Sign On” tab
- Copy the Metadata URL
- Paste into the email body and send email
- Email Videon technical support techsupport@videonlabs.com with the following information
- Once Videon receives your request, a support representative will connect you with our Cloud integration team to walk through the process of Okta SSO integration for your company
- Upon Okta SSO being enabled, emails matching the domains provided will be re-invited to LiveEdge Cloud orgs that they are currently part of
FAQs
Do you support SCIM, SAML JIT or other API functionality?
We do not have any additional user management layers. We support Service Provider (SP) initiated login. When a user logs in to LiveEdge Cloud via Okta for the first time, a new user is created.
