Setting up a static IP

To set up a Videon device for use on a statically configured network (i.e. a network that requires static IP assignment), follow these steps:

1. Connect to the Videon device
2. Navigate to Device Settings -> System
3. Under Address Assignment, click Manual (Static)
4. Enter the static addressing information compatible with the network the Videon device is (or will be) connected to
   
   • This may require talking with the network administrator if you do not know what to enter
5. Click Save

In the case that dynamic (DHCP) addresses are not provided by the connected network, products support direct connect to the device in order to set up a static IP. To learn how to do this, follow our instructions here.
