This is a Max-only feature. For Dynamic Graphic Overlays on Node, please refer to the documentation about the HTML5 Overlay Renderer container.
As of V10.5, Videon has introduced a Beta version of our native Dynamic HTML5 Graphic Overlay feature, allowing select users access to this brand-new functionality for workflow integration and testing purposes.
In software version V11.0, Videon published the Generally Available version of the Dynamic HTML5 Graphic overlay feature for Max devices only with the LE-OPT-GRAPHIX-MAX license. Please review the release notes for Known Behaviors in V11.0.
Local Control
To configure a dynamic graphic overlay via the local UI, follow the below steps:
- Connect to your LiveEdge Max device's local UI
- Navigate to the Input that you wish to overlay a dynamic graphic on
- If the input existed before your software update, you may first need to delete it and create a new input
- Enable Dynamic Graphic Overlay
- Enter the URL of the desired HTML5 graphic overlay
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
Cloud Control
To configure a dynamic graphic overlay via the LiveEdge Cloud UI, follow the below steps:
- Log in to LiveEdge Cloud and navigate to your LiveEdge Max device
- Navigate to the Input that you wish to overlay a dynamic graphic on
- If the input existed before your software update, you may first need to delete it and create a new input
- Enable Dynamic Graphic Overlay under "Graphic Overlay"
- Enter the URL of the desired HTML5 graphic overlay
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
Video Summary
In either of the above cases, the graphic overlay configured via the URL will be rendered at the highest possible framerate and encoded at the resolution/framerate of the respective encoder assigned to the input used.
