LiveEdge® Max: Built-in Test Pattern Generator

On the latest Videon streaming platform, LiveEdge® Max, users can now generate test pattern video and audio signals on either of the two inputs for workflow testing!

This article specifies the built-in test pattern generator for Videon's LiveEdge Max, LiveEdge Max 2, EZ Max, and EZ Max 2 products.

Local Web UI

Video Input Test Pattern Generator:

To configure the video input test pattern generator, use the following steps.

1. Navigate to the device's local web UI.
2. Under the AV Input section on the left-hand side, select the desired input's Input Settings.
3. Under Video Input, click the drop-down.
4. Select Test Pattern Generator.
   
5. Click Save.
6. Observe Video Input Resolution changes to 1080p60, which is the input resolution of the test pattern generator.
   • If your Max device is operating on software version 10.4.0 or lower, the resolution will be 2160p60.
7. If you wish to view the AV Input Preview to monitor the video signal selected on the input, you may do so by following these instructions.
   

Audio Input Test Pattern Generator:

To configure the audio input test pattern generator, use the following steps.

1. Navigate to the device's local web UI.
2. Under the AV Input section on the left-hand side, select the desired input's Input Settings.
3. Under Audio Input, click the drop-down.
4. Select Test Pattern Generator.
   
    
5. Click Save.
6. If you wish to view the AV Input Preview to monitor the video signal selected on the input, you may do so by following these instructions.

1. Navigate to your device.
2. Go to the device Configuration Tab, then select the toggle for the input you wish to configure.
3. Under Video Input, click the drop-down.
4. Select Test Pattern Generator.
5. Click Save.
6. Observe Video Input Resolution changes to 1080p60, which is the input resolution of the test pattern generator.
   • If your Max device is operating on software version 10.4.0 or lower, the resolution will be 2160p60.
