Custom Metadata
In this feature, users can create their own custom metadata keys that are specific to individual devices. However, these custom keys won't appear in the metadata search filters, so they can't be used to search or filter data.
Metadata Search
In the “Search” section of the Devices tab, you can conduct an easy search to help you find specific metadata that you previously configured to your device(s).
By simply selecting the metadata key you are looking for within the toggle on the upper left and using a word or phrase you input into the metadata configuration, you can easily organize and find your device(s) by our Metadata Search feature.
Metadata within Device/Fleet Lists
After creating the common four types of metadata, they will appear in different ways for devices within a device or fleet list of devices.
Device Alias: This type of metadata will replace your device name with its alias when looking at a device/fleet list.
If toggled as a created column in the Browser Specific Settings, the device’s note, location, and deployment status can be displayed in the row of the device it was created for.
