Videon’s LiveEdge Cloud Pro license now includes a powerful new way to monitor detailed audio, video, and metadata input information directly from the cloud. What Is Extended Input Status?
Extended Input Status provides an expanded, real-time view of the input signal. In addition to the standard resolution and frame-rate information, you can now see:
Video
Resolution and format
Frame rate
Bit depth and color information (device dependent)
Audio
Number of audio channels
Per-channel sample rate
Audio levels (in dBFS), updated live
Data / Metadata
Closed Captions – Last Published Timestamp (UTC)
Indicates when caption metadata was last detected.SCTE-104 – Last Published Timestamp (UTC)
Shows when SCTE-104 ad-insertion or marker metadata was last received.
These values update automatically and may differ depending on your device model (Node or Max series).
Where to Find Extended Input Status
Log into LiveEdge Cloud and open your device's page from the list of devices.
Navigate to DEVICE INFO.
Scroll down to locate your Input Channel and click on any of the buttons inside the window (for example: SDI Video: 1920x1080p59.94)
A pop up will display, and you should see the detailed Video, Audio, and Data metadata for the respective input.
Tip: For SDI feeds that include SCTE-104 or Closed Captions metadata, watch the timestamp values to verify that metadata is actively being published under “Data”.
Hover your mouse over the audio bars for the input to see more specific details on audio levels being supplied. Levels will be reported back in dBFS, displayed as measurements read over the last 200 milliseconds and 5 seconds.
