Wowza Streaming Cloud
- Go to the following URL: https://cloud.wowza.com/
- Sign in to your Wowza Streaming Cloud account.
- Check “Available Streams” under "Live Streams" on the left-hand sidebar.
- If your desired stream is already created, skip to step 7 below.
- Otherwise, if there are no available streams, then click “+Add Live Stream”.
- Go through the setup wizard.
- Give the stream a name and select the location closest to you from the drop-down
- Choose “RTMP” when selecting for “What camera or encoder will you use to connect to Wowza Video?”
- Choose “Push Stream” when selecting for “Do you want to push or pull your stream”?
- The rest of the settings can be modified as desired.
- Click on the “Start Live Stream” button on your stream’s home page.
- Scroll down to your stream’s “Source Connection Information” section under STREAM INFORMATION.

To stream Generic RTMP via Videon:

Under the RTMP output of the Videon Web UI, copy the given information from your Wowza Cloud stream into the RTMP URL field shown in the Videon Web UI. See Configuring the Generic RTMP URL for how to format the RTMP URL.

Wowza Streaming Engine
- Connect to your Wowza Streaming Engine server instance via your web browser.
- On the homepage there is a section called “Application Connection Settings” which will provide you with the information about the RTMP URL
- View the stream and connection information:
- Click on “Applications” at the top of the Wowza home page
- Click “live”, or your desired application, under “LIVE APPLICATIONS”
- Click “Test Players.”
- Here you will be able to see the server and port, application, and stream name, which you can then enter into your Videon Encoder’s fields in the RTMP Output. Turn on RTMP Output and click Apply or OK to start streaming! See Configuring the Generic RTMP URL for how to format the RTMP URL.
Configuring the Generic RTMP URL
- Configure the Generic RTMP Stream URL using the following format:
rtmp://Username:Password@Primary_Server(xxxxxxxxentrypoint.cloud.woza.com): Host_Port /app-xxxxxxx(from Primary Server)/Stream_Name
- i.e.: rtmp://U$3rn@m3:P@$$w0rd@12345678.entrypoint.cloud.wowza.com:1935/app-9101112/5tr3@mN@m3
- After enabling the RTMP output on the Videon device and clicking Save, the video snapshot should now be updating on your live stream’s page in Wowza Cloud.
