What is Cloud Control?

Cloud Control is a platform offered to reduce network complexity by offering features like:

Control who has access to which devices, and the state of those devices through the use of organizations, fleets, device, and user management all from one central location;

The ability to view, track, and receive alerts based on a device’s state, health, and or metric data automatically being reported to the Cloud Control platform.

What are Fleets?

Fleets are a way of organizing, grouping, and managing your Cloud Control-enabled Nodes/EdgeCasters. A fleet can represent any collection of your Organization's devices to suit your individual needs and workflows.

There can be more than one fleet in an organization.

A device can belong to multiple fleets within an organization.

A fleet cannot contain any devices not owned by your organization.

Can I have one device in multiple fleets?
- Yes, devices can be shared amongst multiple fleets given that all those fleets are within one organization.
- A device can also belong to no fleet, or can be removed from a fleet.
What is an organization?
- An Organization is the top level entity that contains and manages all devices, fleets, and users for your company. Each device can only belong to one Organization at a time, however a user can be a member of multiple Organizations without any conflicting or shared data between the organizations.
- Users can be invited to an organization by an Organization Admin simply by providing the target user’s email address. The user will then receive an email notification with a link to the platform.
Can I have one device in multiple organizations?
- No. A device can be shared across multiple fleets belonging to the same organization. However, devices cannot be shared across organizations.
How do I see my device in Cloud Control?
- Make sure your Node/EdgeCaster has been updated to OS V8.4.0 or higher.
- If you are an organization admin, you will receive an invite on your registered email address from Videon to join your organization in Cloud Control
- Also, you will receive an invite on your registered email address from the admin to join the organization in Cloud Control

- Yes. You can find the API documentation here.
How much does it cost?
- The current scope of Cloud Control is part of the OS functionality and is currently provided free of charge for all customers under a LiveEdge® commercial agreement.
- In the future, some advanced Cloud Control features may be charged independently from the current free scope of features.
