Zixi Feeder Encoder Backpressure is a new feature with the release of LiveEdge® OS V10.0.0. Backpressure is an encoding feedback mechanism that seamlessly adjusts Video Bitrate on LiveEdge® Node - this occurs when the rate of incoming data to Zixi Broadcaster exceeds the rate of processing or outputting data, causing congestion and potential data loss - Adjusting Video Bitrate automatically provides a much better viewer experience.
Videon recommends designating a single Video Encoder/Profile specifically for use with the Zixi Feeder output when using the Backpressure feature. For the best results, we recommend creating a separate Video Encoder/Profile for any other outputs.
