Pre-requisites
- You must have an existing organization within Cloud Control
- You must have an Admin role in your organization
How to set up password protection:
- Navigate to your desired device on the Cloud Control platform.
- Ensure your device's Cloud Agent has been updated to >V1.10.0.
- Click on the orange "COMMANDS" button in the top-right of the Cloud Control page.
- Select Local UI Password from the drop-down menu.

- Ensure that you are an Admin of your Cloud Control organization
- Ensure your Cloud Agent version is >V1.10.0
- If you have just updated your device's Cloud Agent, you may need to hard refresh your browser window by holding the "Shift" key and refreshing)

- Create a new password and enter it in both in the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" text blocks then click Set Password.
Username/Password:
Username: The default (and only) username is admin. It cannot be changed.
Password: There are no limitations on the password, it can be as simple as one letter or as complex as needed

It is recommended to write down the password along with the respective IP address/device name
Web UI Authentication as implemented
When attempting to access the IP address of the Videon device with authentication enabled, the following pop-up will show in the web browser requiring the username/password to be entered before the local web UI becomes accessible.
Disabling Authentication
Disabling authentication: Disabling authentication will erase the set password permanently
The password must be set again every time authentication is enabled. This ensures the password is set deliberately and known upon enabling authentication.
- Navigate to your desired device on the Cloud Control platform.
- Click on the orange "COMMANDS" button in the top-right of the Cloud Control page.
- Select Local UI Password from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the current password in the "Current Password" text field. Then delete all text in the New Password and Confirm New Password text fields then click Set Password.
- When the password has been successfully removed, you will receive the following prompt stating, "Successfully disabled authentication":
